One of these key pieces of DISC is communication. There’s a specific tab within the CCA Tool that talks specifically about communication. Each person will see communication tips based on their DISC scores.
If you have a dashboard or the individuals that you’re working with has shared their results page with you, their communication tips can help you to have these human centered conversations. How can you meet them where they are? What is their specific communication style? This is especially helpful for those that you might be working with that you don’t really know well. Or if you feel like something’s off in somebody that you have been working with for a while, this can also be a great place to go to reconnect with them about what is and what isn’t working well for them in your communication.
The other thing to keep in mind with communication is that it’s not about you in a way. It’s not about you being you. Instead, the way communication works best is when we can really try to meet others where they are communicate and communicate with them in their style as the best that we can.
